2016 marks the golden anniversary of one of South Africa’s best-loved heritage brands, Appletiser. Now part of Coca-Cola Enterprises, for half a century Appletiser has been creating their 100% pure sparkling apple juice to the delight of fans across the globe.
Having worked with Coca-Cola before, EventBeat was approached by Appletiser to help them kick off a year of celebrations at the Coca-Cola brands party.
To commemorate the anniversary, Appletiser launched a campaign celebrating ‘50 years of crowning moments’ as well as creating giveaways of extraordinary moments throughout 2016 to give something back to the fans and supporters of the brand.
Appletiser came to EventBeat wanting to create a means to present the new campaign and packaging at the Coca-Cola brands’ party, demonstrating how the brand has developed and showcasing to other brands within the CCE family the upcoming giveaways and events. They also wanted to tie the promotional aspects together with something fun that guests could take part in.
The theme was ‘creating memorable moments with Appletiser’ so it was essential to provide an environment where attendees of the event could get involved and share their Appletiser experiences.
Together, EventBeat and Appletiser set up a large interactive display at the entrance of the event that broadcast a combination of live interactive content and promotional material showcasing the brand’s assets.
An onsite photographer was present allowing people to have a red carpet style photo taken against an Appletiser backdrop. As photos were captured, they synced with the EventBeat’s screen cast system and the best ones were cherry picked to appear on the screen. Participants of the event were encouraged to share their own pictures and thoughts on social media using a hash-tag, which integrated their tweets to the digital signage platform.
EventBeat’s digital signage software can combine custom images, videos and live twitter walls. Our screen premiered the new commercial whilst displaying fun photographs of the event and announcements of competitions as well as ticket giveaways to Royal Ascot and the New York City New Year ball drop!
Attendees were able to get involved and share tweets and images of themselves enjoying the event on social media and immediately see them be relayed across to the screen. Not only did this make the event interactive and fun for the guests, it significantly increased the number of social media hits the event, campaign and brand received reinforcing the perception of Appletiser as a high class drink enjoyed by friends at special occasions.
The use of EventBeat screen cast software also propelled the corporate in-house party to a successful digital marketing opportunity helping to launch the new campaign and publicise the golden anniversary competitions for the public.
